Last time I changed the oil I had some struggles due to the dealership over torquing everything on the previous service. See that oil change here: https://youtu.be/2BAp6YXzjD4

Since that oil change Beaverton Toyota customer service and service manager have explained that you shouldn’t try to change the oil yourself. They have the special tools to remove filters and bolts when they over torque them. Needless to say I will not be returning to them for anything.

This time things go much better. After 10k miles and almost 6 months everything went as it should. I’ll give another quick rundown on how to change the oil and why I use the oil I do.

I chose to use Amsoil XL 0w-20 with a WIX filter and it was about $60 total.
